THE CLENHAM CATTLE.

The sale of the pure Ajrshires from the. above well known herd was held at Wyndham on Wednesday, Mr Donald Stronach, o£ the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Company, officiating as auctioneer, and getting good prices considering the times. There was a large turn out of buyers, amongst whom wera several noted Ayrshire fanciers and the bidding throughout was fairly spirited, resulting in nearly all the lots being disposed of at prices named below. Many of the cattle were bought for distant parts — «ne goes as far as Wellington, a lot to Oamaru, and a good many to Tapanui. It was from the last named quarter indeed that the largest buyer, Mr J. D. Herbert, hailed. The weather was showery, but the numerous buildings about Glenham afforded shelter for the auctioneer's audience. Below we give details of the prices realised : — BULLS. Gs.
