INVERCARGILL RACING CLUB'S MEETING.

3 FIRST DAY, ' (Telegraphed by out 1 Special Reporter,) There was a good attendance at to-day'a races, which were held on the Park reaerve, aud as over £50 was taken at the gates there must have been about 1100 spectators, who ' paid for admission, but gap 3 in the fence ' were freely patronised. The coarse was in very fair condition considering the | late wet weather, and it having been newly formed, The racing was good on the whole, but al"> though the competitors evidently went for the money there were no very exciting finishes. hous&oji .•# . Mortimer's Pathfinder 1 Bun ton's Atlantic . . .... 2 Mitchell's Badger 3 This race was won easily by Pathfinderi , Badger was outpaced.
