Per Press Association. Wellington, May IS. A private cable states that the Shaw, Saville and Ablion Steamship Company have declared a dividend of 5 per cent. The Tongariro, from London, is expected early to-morrow afternoon. At the City Council an animated discussion took place over the recent reduction of Gd per day on laborers’ wages, and the result was a reinstatement to the former amount.
