WOOL AND GRAIN MARKETS. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the follow Mg telegram from their London office, dated 10th iustant “ Wool—'lue sales closed firmly to-day at level of last sales. For long staple merino light 'n grease, especially new clip, the market is firmer. Tho sales comprise about 155,000 bales ; SO,OOO bales have been taken for the Continent and 1500 for America; 11,000 bales have been holdover for future disposal.” Special to United Press Association. London, Dec. 10. The wheat market is unchanged, but holders are firm and buyers reserved. Good Australian shipments have been sold at 355. Two cargoes of old November shipment sold at from 34s 3d to 31s Gd. For now January shipment, 3-ls Gd is paid. New Zealand consignments average 345. Wool—At the color‘ill auctions to-day the catalogue comprised 9500 bales, for which there was a hotter demand than usual for most descriptions. P'iio November-December series of wool auctions closed to-day with a good demand for most descriptions, characterised by much dimness. Pne total quantity sold during the soiies, including that forwarded d’'rect to rnanufaotu'' ng d’stricts, amounts to 160,000 bales; 11,000 bales have been held over for next sales. Greasy wools generally close at about the mine rates as last sales, but Poit Plv” : p and Sydney greasy show an advance of one halfpenny l-’gher, wl-de crossbreds close on a par with previous sales.
