THE BRYCE-HUTCHISON CASE.
MR HUTCHISON DECLARED ELECTED. AIR BRYCE TO PAY COSTS. (Ter Press Association.) Wanganui, Dec 9. The petitioners in the Biyco-Hutchison case f; tiled to estub’esh their case. Mr Hutchison was therefore declared duly elected. Briefly the judgment was to the effect that not a single charge had been sustained, and that the charges of r.reit ; • cron polling day and days other than poking did not come withm the statue of New Zealand or common law on treating. An application that the respondent should pay his own costs was not entm-tained, as the Court held that them was a large number of charges abandoned, arc* many utterly failed. If it had been cor'mod i,o a few suspicious circumstances, they might have ordered res-p •udetif to pay Ids own costs, but under the oimuiiwtaricus they would not do so.
