HOPEFUL OF PEACE. [Reuter’s Telegrams.] Buda-Pesth, Jan 1. Tiszai, President of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers, was to-day presented wi ,h a New Year Address by a number of Liberal deputies, and, replying, said the AustroHungarian Government would strive for peace, provided the house and interest of the Empire was not menaced. Paris, Jan 2. M, Goblet, President of the Oounoil of Ministers, in replying to a deputation of brokers, stated that France wanted peace, and he believed in upholding the same, but the Government viewed the possibility of war calmly. President Grevy, receiving the members of the diplomatic body yesterday, ex-= pressed himself confident of tho maintenance of peace in Europe.
