DRESS & MANTLE MAKING. IT is now three months since we opened our DRESSMAKING DEPARTMENT, and we take the opporn tunity of thanking the I/'dies, of Marlborough for the very lib* r.<l support have given us. The support we have vec ived thejiub'-ic, combined with the ability and talon l , exhibited by Miss Meredith (who has charge)., hns now hu' this ..department on a firm footing, and we are lurning out a larger number of dress* 8 than w>- though it possible to do. . We have satisfied ourselves that we were judging the requirements of the district rigkt.y when we determined to bu 11 and fully stock one of the Best premises in the colony, and are quite satisfied that (allowing for tightness o 4 the money market which just now undoubtedly exists all over the colony) our efforts to supply the public of Marlborough with what they require at reasonable rates will receive the recognitions wo expected and looked for. We may say thus far we have received all we expected, and are sanguine we shall continue to do so as long as we can give the greatest comfort and convenience, combined with the largett choice and best value, all of which we are now doiug. Ladies who have not yet sjts& q* a trialare requested to do so, and we guarantee to give them satisfaction. We remain,. yours respectfully, LITCHFIELD AND SON, DRAPERS, CLOTHIERS, O-ELOGHIELS, MARKET PLACE, BLENHEIM.
