' DATE OF NOMINATIONS, ACCEPTANCES, ETC, Nominations for the Wairau Hunt Club Handicap, and Handicap' Hurdles, to be made not later than 8 p.m. in Saturday, December 4th. Weights to je declared on December 11th. Acceptinces on general entry night, December 18th. Nominations Jor the Sporting Handicap, Hislop Cup, and Cavalry Race on general mtry night, December 18th. The handicaps for the Hislop Cup to be declared immedaittaly after the Wairau Plate is run ; and for the Sporting Handicap immediately after the Hislop Cup is run. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, Jisputes, and objection* arising shall be lecided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon al points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with t deposit of 2 sovs., which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest Is not sustained. In all races second horse to save his stakes. All nominations, entiles, acceptances, Bet. accompanied by the necessary amount injcasli, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Club Hotel Blenheim, not later than 8 p.m. on the rdvertised date of closing. No entry will be received under an pretence after the hour named. The Rules of the Marlborough Racing Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. . Owners are responsible for all penalties and allowances, which must be notified to the Secretary, when possible, on night of general entry, or in any case half.an. hour prior to start. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half hour before the official time for starting such race. Any person Defecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 20 sovs. to the race fund.
