Emperor has gained three first and three seeond prizes, and is got by the renowned Napoleon (imported by Mr J. Nlmmo). Napoleon, by Georgo Buchananjs Emperor, eat of Nancy, bred by Alexander Finlay, Esq. Sandyinlls, near Glasgow, Naney by the celebrated Garnary horse ; her dam is Scotman. Conqueror took the first prize as a two-yoar-old at the Blueskin Show, 1876 and secoßd prize for ail comers and aged horgfes at the same show j and at Oamaru the following year took seeonl prize as a three-year-old in of nine competi. tors. At five years old he took first prize at Timaru, 1879. and special prize of 12 guineas ss & colonial-bred horse to stand in the district that season. LOUIS D’Or is a chestnut llorso g years old standing over 10 hands high with great power and is by that celebrated horse TRADUOER. sire fo Lurline, Calumny, Templeton, Sir Modred and a host of well known winners out of the imported mare Rupee, (late Half Crown). Rupee ia by Dollar, the best son of the Flying Dutchman winner of the Derby and St. Ledger of 1819. Dollar won the Northamptonshire Stakes end Goodwood Cup in 1864, and i« the sire of Salvator, winner of the Grand Prix de Paris in 1875. Salvator was the sire of the sire of the Duke of Hamilton’s Ossian, which won the St, Ledger, 18S3, and ran second in the Goodwood Cap in 1884, Louis D’Or received first honora three years in succession as the best thoroughbred entire at the Marlborough Agricultural Show, and ran second to Grip in the C.J.C. Handicap when a three year old. Mionoucho dam of Rupee is by the Baron, sire of Stockwell and Rataplan. Louis D’Or will visit Havelock on Mondays (weather permitting); at Spring Creek, on Tuesdays ; Blenhein, Wednesdays and Saturdays ; Pioton, Fridays J at our stables Thursdays.
