To the Editor. Sib,— After walking all through a heavy shower of rain this evening expecting to hear Mr Douslin’s views on Municipal matteri I had instead to be content with a tirade upon Mr Henderson’s misrepresentations regarding Mr Douslin’s public actions. Now, Sir, the only matter really of public importance was a reference to the Omaka bridge, and no doubt with a view of catching the vote of the working men and particularly"the carpenters, ho said, if ft majority (mark these words) of the Councillors are in favor of a new bridge now, he wouldjnot oppose it. No w if he had said should the Council be equally divided on the question I would as Mayor, be prepared and promise, should you elect me, to give my casting vote in favor of this expenditure; we might then consider his remark a straight forward one, bqt net otherwise- I am » &c., A Raxe?atbb.
