DRESS & MANTLE MAKING IT is no* three months since we opened our DRESSMAKING DEPARTMENT, and we take the opporx lunitv of thanking the Ladies of Marlborough for the very liberal support they hare given us. The support we have received from the public, combined with the ability and talent exhibited by Miss Meredith (who has charge), has now set this department on a firm footing, and we are turning out a larger number of dress' s than wo thought it possible to do. \\ e have satisfied ourselves that we were judging the requirements of the district rightly when we determined to build and fully stock one of the best premises in the colony, and are quite satisfied that (allowing f>r tightness of the money market which just now undoubtedly exists all over the colony) our efforts to supply the public of Marlborough with what they require at reasonable rates will receive the recognitions we expected and looked for. We may say thus far we have received all we expected, and are sanguine we shall continue to do so as long as we can give the greatest comfort and convenience, combined with the largest choice and best value, all of which we are now doing. lad es who have not yet given us a trial are requested to do so, and we guarantee to give them satisfaction. Wo remain, yours respectfully, LITCHFIELD AND SON. ZDIR/A-IPIEjIR/S, GLOTHIEBS,“”GBOCBBS, MARKET PLACE, BLENHEIM.
