RUSSIA’S THREATENING ATTITUDE. A BULGARIAN COMMANDER ARRESTED. U3B 1 (special to press association), London, Oct. 14. It is thought that the threatening attitude assumed by Russia is simply intended to paralyse Bulgaria into submission. The Regents have invited the Great Powers to suggest a ruler to replace Prince Alexander. October 15. The commander of the Bulgarian troops at Bustchuk has been authorised to arrange a treaty of alliance with Servia. The Berlin Bourse distrusts Russian securities, and many have been thrown on the market. Russians declare that England is the cause of the distrust.
