BABBIT-SKIN MARKET. E. R. Bradshaw, New Zealand Rabbitskin Exchange, Dunedin, reports "At the auction sales on Tuesday, the 21st instant, 42 bales and 101 bags were offered. 13 bales aod 13 bags of which were passed, vendor’s limits not being obtainable. A line of 10 bales selected mountain greys, in new bales, ready for shipment, brought 15fd—but with this exception prices were about the same as last week. Those passed were mostly good winters and the prices offered for them were higher than the equivalent London values. My purchases during the last fortnight have been very large, at equal to highest market prices.” LONDON WOOL MARKET WEAKER. [Reuter’s Telegrams.] London, Sept 28. At yesterday’s and to-day’s wool auctions 22,000 bales were offered. The market is weak and prices have a downward tendency. Three per ceut consols have fallen g, and are quoted at 100 f. The market rate of discouot hat advanced to 2{J per cent. New Zealand Government securities remain unaltered, viz., 5 per cent. 10-40 loan, 101 -, 4£ per cent 5-30 loin, 995; 4 per cent inscribed stock, 99. Melbourne, Sept. 29.

Messrs R. Goldsbrongh and Co, have received the following report of the London wool market, under date Sept. 2Sth : —The market is weaker for all descriptions except crossbreds, which are Id higher than at the opening of the present series. Scoured wool generally has fallen Id per lb , good scoured, from Id to ljd; inferior greasy merino is lower, and good greasy merino is Id lower thsn at the opening of the present series.
