Keeble, agent. Pasaengers—Mrs Oonolly, Messrs Renfrew, Farmar, and three steerage. [By Telegraph.] New Plymouth, July 17. ACCIDENT TO THE ORETI. The steamer Oreti is at present in Kawhaia harbor in distress. She left Wellington for Wanganui, but not being able to enter that river went on to Opunake, but was not ablo to land cargo. She then made for Waitara, but could not enter that river owing to the dangerous state of the bar, ao nhe bore away for Kawhaia in order to obtain shelter. In attempting to enter the harbor she bumped on the bar, and as was afterwards found, had made a hole in her bottom. She has to remain there till relief Is afforded her. The Hannah Mokau has been dispatched with a sand pump and appliance and five tons of eoal to have the repairs executed. July IS. Arrived, 7 a.m.—Wanalca, from Onehunga, with Brindisi mail.
