AWATERE SPARROW MATCH

A sparrow match took place at the Awatere on Saturday last, and. feathering from the scores below, we should imagine that the birds had been trained in their flying capacity, as more than half of them got away. The birds were supplied from Blenheim by Mr Whitling. and in duty to him we must admit that he spares no trouble in procuring the best birds that are to be got.
