" Description or, Land. —The Maniatutu Viliagc, situated in the future main road from Tauranga to Opofciki, is about the centre of the above lands, and is distant .from Tauranga 23 miles, from Te Puke 11 miles, and from Maketu 94 miles, by partly-formed roads, the road from Kaikokopu to tho village and onwards through the block being now under construction by Government. The lands in the Maketu and Waihi Survey Districts are all open, and consist of undulating fern hills running out to swamps in the northern portions, whilst the southern blocks are more broken. The soil is light, the vegetation con-
sisting of fern, tutu, and Jlarc. The swamp lands arc in many cases, of a superior character. Plans may be seen and further particulars of the lands obtained on application at all the principal Land Oflices of the colony. MARLBOROUGH GUN CLUB.
