[From Our Own Correspondent.] The Havelock Public School, under the charge of Mr Francis Severne, passed a satisfactory examination on Friday last, the 4th instant, and the pupils are to be congratulated on their success, as is evidenced by the passes in the following Standards : 6th Standard : 3 presented, 2 passed— Walter Matthews and George Price

sth Standard : 2 presented and passed— Jessie Matthews and Florence Scverne. 4th Standard : 10 presented and 9 passed —Mary Dive, Maud Firth, Laura Matthews, Mary Severne, Margaret Fraser, Harriet Pope, Margaret Jones. Hester Levien, and Thomas Halpine. 3rd Standard : 8 presented and 7 passed —John Robertson, Harold Mills, Charles Matthews, Cora ?»lills, Madeline Blackwood, Amy Pickering, and Ivy Pickering. 2nd Standard : 5 presented and passed— William Clarke, Frederick Scott, Eva Horton, Louisa O’Donnell, and Fanny Curteis. Havelock Suburban School (Ivaituna), under the charge of Mr Henry Severne. This school was successfully examined on Thursday, Nov. 3rd, and out of 1G presented 15 passed. 4th Standard : Stephen Kennington. 2nd Standard : Annie Rush, Fanny Swafford, Philip Rush, Arthur Rush, William Jones, Annie Jones, Francis Kite, and Frederick Benge. Ist Standard: Maud Jones, Charles Jones, William Swafford, Lucy Kite, Ciias. McDowell, and Clara Benge.
