AWARDS ALTERED
WINNER INELIGIBLE Maiden Hack and Hunter „ Yesterday Mr. A. S. Buckland, of Hamilton, telephoned the secretary of the Matamata Agricultural and Pas- $ toral Association to state that he had « found out that his horse Paddy O’Flynn was not eligible for the maiden hack and maiden hunter, classes, both of which his horse won* owing to the fact that unknown to ji him Paddy O’Flynn had previously won a prize at Gisborne. Accordingly Mr. Auckland's horse’s name has been deleted from the official list of prize i winners, and the second and third! horses have been promoted. The altered and final awards now are:— Maiden Hack: Miss Gwen John- * ston’s Hutawai 1, Mr. J. McSweeney’s Tavern Song. t Maiden Hunter: Mr. Gordon Campbell’s Valpeen 1, Miss Carlie Scott’S Jacko 2. * The altered placings fortunately do not make any difference to the points cup award.
