MATAMATA BRANCH Annual General Meeting The annual meeting of tlie Matamata branch, of the New Zealand National Party, which was held in the Fire Brigade Hall on Thursday, was well-attended and characterised by much enthusiasm. Mr. A. Wallace presided. A telegram was received from Mr. F. W. Doidge, M.P., expressing regret at not being able to attend, and conveying his thanks to all friends and workers in the party’s cause The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mr. A. Wallace; secretary. Mr. W. Emslie. Executive committees for the various districts were appointed as follows:

Peria: Mrs. A. H. Lambourne, Messrs. A. A. Potts, C. G. Payze, D. McCarthy, F. Dunnett and R. C. Morgan. Taihoa: Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Thornton, Messrs. M. Madill. J. E. West, G. Mason and T. Bennett. Okauia: Mr. and Mrs. W. McDonald, Messrs. G. Sutherland, J. Tapper and W. Barton.

Turanga-o-moana: Messrs A. •E, Diprose, D. J. McKay and *F. R Gibson.

Matamata: Miss R. Vosper. Mrs. J. G. Mackereth, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Bell, Messrs. J. H. Diprose, B. C. Taylor, A. E. Wrigley, J. E. Barlow, D. C. Watersori. J. Landells, J. F. Vosper and J. Clothier.
