EXECUTIVE MEETING A meeting of the executive of the Matamata A. and P. Association was h<dd in the society’s office on Friday. Those attending were Messrs. A. S. Thirlwall (chairman), W. T. Thornton, J. Landells, C. G. Payze, F. Richmond, G. G. Griffiths and B. C. Taylor (secretary). Show Schedules

The reports of various committees which had perused sections of the schedule were received and confirmed.

It was decided, on the suggestion of Mr. Payze, to add a high jump for ponies of 14.2 and under, and also an open high jump. The speaker said that the pony jump was a popular event at the Putaruru and Cambridge shows. Prize Money Minor alterations were also made to the prize money to equalise various sections, but the total was left at approximately the previous high figure. New Donations The (following new donations were received: The Farmers’ Trading Co., Ltd., wrote advising that it was prepared to donate goods valued at £2 2s to the show. B. C. Taylor, Ltd., donated £2 2s first prize for the District Court competition. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., advised that it would donate £1 Is or goods to the same value. Mr. N. L. Higginson forwarded r, donation of £l. Waihi Inaugural Show The Waihi A. and P. Association advised that its inaugural show would .be held on February 6, 1937. Free Hot Water Adams and Suns, caterers, Auckland, advised that they would. De pleased to tender for the luncheon 1 booth on receipt of advice as to whether the supply of hot water was free or to be sold by the caterer, and how many complimentary luncheon tickets were issued and the price for same. The executive was urianinioys that hot water should be supplied free,! and on the motion of Mr. Payze the* secretary was instructed to make arrangements to this end. 1 [
