PLUNKET SOCIETY
MORRINSVILLE BRANCH The Morrinsville branch of the Plunket Society held its annual meeting on Monday, when the president, Mrs. E. W. Harden, reviewed a successful and progressive year. The branch funds had benefited by a large amount from the photographic competition held in the spring. Visits paid to the Morrinsville Plunket room during the 12 months ended on March 31 totalled 3682, an increase of 684. Cases on the branch books totalled 166, an in-, crease of 80 for the year. These figures showed clearly - that' mothers* are anxious to' take advantage’ of the opportunities offered them by the Plunket .Society. . X)ffic;ers elected were as follow: —rPatroness, Dr; Janette King; president, Mrs. J. Boles; vice-presidents, Mesdames Aitken, senr., L. H. k Larner, S. G. R. Brewis, H. E. Blennerhassett and Sister - Tolerton; hon. secretary, Mrs. J. J. Seales; hon. treasurer, Mrs. J. Caulfield; committee, Mesdames T. Brodie, E. W. Harden, A. A. French, V. Bosworth, P. J. Cooper, J. Hammond, with power to add. Mrs. iF. J. Marshall was made a life member in recognition of her services since the branch was formed many years ago.
