MATAMATA CLUB The second round for the Timaru Cup was played by members of the Matamata Golf Club on Saturday under windy conditions. R. Mentiplay, with a record first nine holes in 35 (one under bogey), scored 36 points, and now leads the field. Results were : R. Mentiplay, first round 28, second round 36, total 64;. J. Carruthers, 32 —29, 61; H. Conder, 27 — 31, 58; T. Bluck, ing, 27—31, 58; C. Tapp, 29—29, 58; W. Halligan, 26—30, 56; J. Combes, 24—31, 55; C. Wilson, 27—28, 65; L. H. Little, 30—24, 54. The scores are nett.
