Wardville 25, High 0 ws? The senior game at Matamata on Saturday was a triumph for P. Hawke,’ a Hinuera five-eighths, who scored 25 of his team’s points. He scored three tries and converted eight tries. Wardville played gamely all through, and nearly scored several times.

Wilson, giving Hinuera an early advantage, and Germann scored from a passing rush, Hawke converting. Hinuera 5, Wardville 0 Weak kicking by both sides followed. The Wardville forwards were • playing well, heeling and pushing their opponents. From a bad kick by Saxon, Settle kicked ahead, and Brown secured and sent to Germann, who scored. Hawke converted. Despite the score the game had been even territorially. Wilson put Wardville on attack with a heady kick across the field, and Litchwark made a good dash to the line. From a scrum T. Hughes got over on the blind side but could not ground the ball. Hinuera got to halfway, where Brown started a passing rush from which Lowry scored. Hawke converted. Hinuera 20, Wardville 0 Fumbling by the blue backs allowed Hawkp to score a try, which he converted. Hinuera 25, Wardville 0 Nohi showed speed in defence for Wardville, but Hawke scored, failing to convert. Hinuera 28, Wardville 0 Wardville looked like scoring at the start of the second half, but Settle relieved. Brown passed to Hawke, who scored a good try, whichhe converted.
