Children’s Party.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.

A happy party was held by Mrs. B. Barnes at her residence, Firth street, Matamata, on Saturday to celebrate the 11th birthday of her daughter Ngaire. About 20 children were present and played many jolly games. A treasure hunt caused much amusement and was won by Helen Neaber. Bunty Clarry Avon a guessing competition. Mrs. Barnes later served the birthday tea on a gailydecorated table, in the centre of which was a fine cake bearing 11 candles. Cheers accompanied the cutting of the cake by the guest of honour. Musical honours for Ngaire concluded a happy afternoon. Those present were: Ngaire, Joyce and Thora Barnes, Dawn and Noel Hutchison, Helen, Marjorie and Pam Neaber, Bunty, Rhona and Wally Clarry, Valerie and Jean Forbes, Mavis Crawford, Dulcie Hintz, Ernest Little, Rex Forsman.
