WELL KNOWN.
The hotel proprietor was demanding payment of a large bill which had been “ run up ” by a dashing young client. “I never pay bills till I go!” said the young man. “ I am trusted everywhere—l am one of the * lions ’ of society!” “One of the ‘lions’?” said the other. “ Your last landlord described you as one of the ‘ cheetahs’!”
