INQUIRY INTO CURRENCY.

SUPPORTED AT HINUERA.

Dairy Suppliers’ Resolution. At the annual meeting of the Hinuera Dairy Company on Thursday |Mr. N. S. Griffiths urged that a resolution be passed supporting the open inquiry which was. being asked for into the currency and credit system of the Dominion.

Mr, P. Hawke seconded the resolution. He mentioned that after the Ottawa Conference the Hon. J. G. Coates had stated that prices must be raised. It was impossible, however, to raise prices without first of all increasing purchasing power and for this reason he supported the motion.

Mr. J. Cotter said that while many perhaps did not understand the subject, the resolution was an open one which he felt all could support. The resolution was carried.
