W.D.F.U.

NGARUA BRANCH. The Ngarua branch of the W.D.F.U., which was formed only a few months ago, now has a membership of 37. Mrs. A. Donovan presided at the July meeting last week. Mrs. Carter was appointed secretary in lieu of Mrs. Marx, who has resigned. Papers were read by several members on “ The Problem of the Mentally Defective.” An interesting address was given by Mrs. Lewis, of Te Aroha. A competition for the best plate of jam tarts was won by Mesdames James and Palmer
