Matamata.
Mrs. H. Quinn has returned to Otorohanga after. visiting her daughter, Miss 0. Quinn, of Matamata. Mrs. J. P. White is spending a few days with relatives in Gisborne. Misses M. and J. Johnstone, of Taranaki, were the guests of their sister, Mrs. S. Huston, of Turanga-o-moana, last week-end. Miss A. Huston and Mr. J. Huston, also of Taranaki, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Huston, last week-end. The Rev. J. W. Burley has returned to Matamata after attending the Waikato Diocesan Synod at Hamilton. Mrs. and Miss Caher, formerly of Broadway, have left Matamata for Mangere, where they are now residing.
Putaruru. j Miss W. Wheeler, who has been on a holiday visit to Auckland, has returned to Putaruru. , Mr. and Mrs: Arnold Hollinshead and Mr. Arthur Hollinshead left Putaruru this week to take up their residence in Te Mata. Mrs. J. Barnes is spending a holiday in the North. Miss E. Ashton, of Dannevirke, is spending a few days in Putaruru this week as the guest of her parents. Miss ’Olive Peffers, of Putaruru, was a successful competitor at the Auckland Winter Show, gaining first prize for crocheted supper cloth in the embroidery section.
I Morrinsvllle. j Mrs. Aitken, of Djunedin, is the guest of Mrs. C. F. Hart, Maukoro. Mrs. Munro, who has been staying with Mrs. C. F. Hart, Maukoro, has returned to Dunedin. Miss P. Seville, of Hamilton, has been staying for a few days with her mother; Mrs. G.' Seville, Thames street. i
Mrs. C. M. Hume and small daughter, of Hamilton, are the guests of J. Hewitt, Allen street.
