Stock Sales.
MORRINSVILLE. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.’s Morrinsville sale on Friday there was a heavy yarding of sheep and young cattle, and a medium yarding of beef.. Prices were easier throughout, with little demand for calves. Last week’s rates for. beef were maintained. A good yarding of all classes of pigs came forward, prices being slightly easier throughout for fats and baconers, while stores and weaners were considerably easier. A choice line of 34 heavy baconers on account of Graydon Bros, averaged £4 Is, and another line of 48 on account of Mr. R. JMears averaged £4 ss. Prices were: Sheep.— Fat ewes, 12s to 15s. Fat lambs, 17s 6d to 225. Best store lambs, 10s 9d to 13s Id. Culls, 8s 9d to 10s sd. C& Light fat bullocks, £9 12s 6d to £lO Bs. o o A Heavy fat cows, £8 3s to *y* Lighter fat cows, £5 10s to £7 11s. Store cows, £2 10s to £3 10s. Store steers, £B. . Best Jersey heifer calves, £4 5s to £4 10s. . Others, £2 7s 6d to £3 4s. Shorthorn steer calves, small, 14s. Dairy cows, £8 to £9 ss. Pigs.—■ Heavy baconers, £4 to £4 ss. Medium baconers, £3 125,t0 £3 l<s. Light baconers, £3 5s to £8 10s. Heavy porkers, £2 15s to £3 2s. Light porkers, £2 7s to £2 12s. Good stores, 33s to £2. Slips, 25s to 30s. Weaners, 8s to 21s.
