Stock Sales.
MORRINSVILLE. A good yarding of cattle and sheep and a moderate entry of pig's came forward at Dalgety and Company s Morrinsville sale on Friday. There was a big attendance of local and outside buyers and prices were well up to recent quotations. Store and weaner pigs met with little competition. Vendors met the market ruling rates and a full clearance was effected. Prices were:— Cattle. — Fat cows £7 9s to £8 10s. Light cows £5 15s to £7 Is. Store cows £3 11s to £4 ss. Shorthorn steers (2S-year) £7 5s to £7 16s. Jersey heifer calves up to £4 10s. Jersey-cross heifer calves £2 15s to £3. Small £2 15s to £1 17s 6d. Shorthorn heifer calves £2 12s. Shorthorn-cross steer calves £3 2s. Springing Jersey heifers £9 10s to £lO. Springing Jersey cows £9 10s. Bulls £4 to £6 ss. Sheep.— Aged ewes (r.w.r.) 19s. Cull ewes (small) 9s. Pigs.— Baconers to £4 Is. Porkers £2 11s to £3 10s. Stores 31s to 38s. Slips 20s to 235. Weaners 13s to 15s 6d. Small 7s to Bs.
