Matamata. Mrs. Gubbins, of'Marton, has been visiting Mrs. C. Green, senior, of Matamata. 1 '■ Mrs. R. Turnbull, of “ The Drive,” Epsom, is the guest of Mrs. L. Flower, Matamata. Mr. 'and Mrs. E. R. Worth, of Okoroire Railway, left Matamata last Monday for Australia. Mrs. J. D. Bryce, of Waharoa, and Mrs. S. Holland, of Matamata, are visiting Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Seed of Taihoa, who have been touring Taranaki district, returned on Tuesday. . Miss Cummings, of Mt. Eden, is on a visit to her sister, Miss A. Cummings, of Matamata. The Misses D. and B. Kyver, of Christchurch, who are ; touring the North Island, are the guests of Mr. Moir, of Hinuera. Mrs. Torrens, of Auckland, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. A. J. Tong, of Matamata, has returned to. her home. Mr. and Mrs. A. Stewart, of Matamata, left on Tuesday for a holiday, at Auckland, Russell and other North Auckland districts. Mrs. and Miss Whytcross, of Te Poi, have returned from an enjoyable holiday at Devonport beach, Auckland. On Tuesday Mesdames J. Buchanan, J. Cranswick and L. Flower, of Matamata, attended a very good meeting at Waharoa, where the ladies of that district met in connection with the obstetrical appeal and expressed their willingness to help the Matamata workers. Putaruru. Mr. Henn, of Australia, is visiting his daughter, Mrs. E. ,A. Stephenson. Mrs. Paxton, senr., paid a short visit td* Putaruru, staying with her son, Mr. St. J. Paxton. Mrs. T. Cragg and , daughter are spending a few days in Putarufu. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Snell motored to Auckland on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Skow have returned to Auckland after spending a few weeks in Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. K. Bicknell left last Tuesday for the Wairarapa, where they r are spending three weeks with Mr. Bicknell’s parents. Miss Farrelly, a former member of the local school staff, spent the week end in Putaruru. Mrs. C. J. Christie left for Auckland on Sunday last, to pay a short visit to her mother, Mrs. Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Ranger left on Tuesday for a three weeks’ motor tour of the South Island. Mrs. J. H. Reading, of McKenzie street, returned to Putaruru on‘Wednesday, after a week’s holiday spent in Auckland. Morrinsville. Miss E. Lloyd, of Otahuhu, has been staying at Annandale, Piako. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Faulkner are spending a holiday at Mercury Bay. Mrs. L. E. Pole has returned from a holiday at Gisborne. Mr. and Mrs. Rowan have returned from a holiday in Opotiki. Mrs. D. Dodd is spending a holiday at Tapu, Thames. Mrs, J. Cottingham and daughter, of Wh'angarei, are on a visit to Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Robinson, of Morrinsville, are spending a holiday at Auckland. Miss M. Sweetapple has returned from a holiday spent in Auckland.' o Mrs. C. H. Wood, of Snell street, has left on a visit to Te Aroha. Mrs. Steele, of Allen street, is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Biddock, of Te Kuiti.
