LORRY AND CAR COLLIDE.

Accident at Tutaruru.

Putaruru, not to be outdone by

.Matamata or Morrinsville, is prok yiding its quota of motor accidents. On Tuesday evening a motor lorry belonging to Messrs; Street and 'Street, of Hamilton, was travelling along the Tirau-Putaruru road, coming into Putaruru. At the same time a Ford car, driven by Mr. .'Smith, was approaching from Tauxnangi road* and both vehicles entered the main road at the same time. .The lorry, which was loaded [with timber, crashed into the car and some of the timber smashed through the wind-screen, dangerously -close to 'the driver’s head. How • •ever, no one was injured. The lorry :Buffered no appreciable damage, but "the car was “ badly knocked about.”
