PUTARUBU MAN MISSING.

MR. F. D. McVAY. Mr. F. D. McVay, an old man of 70 years of age, who was a wellknown figure in the Putaruru and Tolcoroa districts until quite recently, has been missing since January 21. Mr. McVay was employed by the T.T.T. Co., but left their employ towards the end of last year and went to live in retirement in Auckland. Of temperate habits, he had been staying at an Auckland hotel for about four months, and left one morning to attend a cricket match, and has not been heard of since.
