TOWN BOARD RESIGNATION.

MR. J. POHLEN. Mr. J. Pohlen tendered his resignation to the Matamata Town Board on Monday night, at 11.25 o’clock, on the grounds that late night sittings affected his health. Mr. Ivan Black moved that the resignation be accepted- with regret. Mr. Mclntyre added that appreciation he recorded of Mr. Pohlen’s services to the board. The chairman endorsed Mr. McIntyer’s views, stating that he was sorry that the board should lose the services of such a valuable local body member. The motion was carried.
