OBITUARY.
A THAMES PIONEER.
Mrs. William Henry Paltridge.
The death occurred at Matamata on Thursday, 26th February, of Mrs. Paltridge, widow of the late Mr. William Henry Paltridge, one of the early settlers of Thames, at the age of 69 years. The late Mrs. Paltridge was born at Coventry (England) and came to New Zealand at the age of nine years. On the death of her husband, which occurred four years ago, the deceased came to live with her daughter, Miss Paltridge, of Matamata, with whom sue resided until her death. The surviving members of the family are three sons and three daughters : Messrs. Henry Paltridge, Henderson; Frederick, Waihi; James, Birkenhead; Mrs. Patterson, Great Bander; Mrs. Moyle, Dargaville; Miss Paltridge,' Matamata. Interment took place at Thames on Saturday, in the Methodist portion of the cemetery.
