A good storv was told the other night at a Protestant Church meetino- not 100 milss from Gore. A social! gathering had been held, and the treasurer in submitting his bal-ance-sheet to the meeting intimated that the onlv receipts were the door monev. The expenditure included several items, which had been paid. The onlv one who did not charge for his services was the carter, and he was a Roman Catholic.
