STOCK SALES.

MORRINSVILLE. At the Farmers' Co.'s stock sale at Morrinsville oa Friday there was a large yarding of beef and pigs, for which there was also a good demand. Fat bullocks were penned in large numbers, but were easily eclipsed in this respect by one of the largest yardings of fat cows seen at Morrinsville £or some time, and despite this fact prices were kept up very well indeed, one cow realising £lO. Fat bullocks went up to £l2 6s, not as good value itgjj that which ruled at the previous sale held at Morrinsville by the company. The top price for pigs was £3 10s, which was obtained for heavy baconers. The number of dairy cattle of- v fered was small, and the market was dull, the top price for cows being £9 and for heifers £lO. There was a very small yarding of sheep. The prices are: —Beef: Heavy fat bullocks, £ll 19s to £l2 6s; others, £9 10s to £ll 8s; prime heavy, cow, £10; fat cows, £5 15s to £8; good fat heifers, £5 14s to £6 lis; light fat cows, £5 5s to £5 10s; good conditioned store cows, £4 to £4 14s; fresh conditioned! cows, £3 5s to £4; store cows, £1 10s to £2 15s; heifers, empty and r.w.b., good Jerseys £3 10s to £3 18s, others , £1 10s to £2 15s; yearling steers, £2 * 2s. Dairy cattle: Heifers, £lO 10s; poorer, £3 10s to £5 10s; cows, £5 to £9; bulls, potters, £1 to £6 15s. Sheep: Fat shorn wethers, 32s 6d; good fat shorn ewes,' 325, smaller 24s to 265. Pigs: Heavy £3 3s to £3 10s; medium baconers,j£2 15s to £3 Is; porkers, £2 9s to £2 15si good slips,. 35s to 39s 6d; good weaners, 29s to 34s 6d; smaller sorts, 20s to 27s 6d. CLAUDELANDS. At the Farmers' Auctioneering Co.'s Claudelands sale there was a \ full yarding of beef, store cattle and fat sheep, and only a limited number of pigs being penned. Practically the whole yarding changed hands under good competition at late rates. Beef: Five prime show steers, on account of Mr. W. Newell, 3-years, £l6 to £l9; 2-year, £11; yearling, £7 15s.
