THE WAR MEMORIAL.

FUNDS IN HAND. The secretary of the Matamata War Memorial Committee (Miss Robinson) states that there is now in hand £lOl for the proposed War Memorial, being receipts from the Welcome Home. The Boy Scouts' concert brought £3 3s 4d. The secretaryhas also written to the Matamata Merrymakers, asking if the proceeds of the recent concert may be devoted to the cost of inscribing the names on the Roll of Honour on the public memorial.

A list for subscriptions is open at the Record office.
