OKAUIA.
A meeting of householders to elect a school committee, for the current year was held at the Okauia school on Monday' evening. Mr. R. A. Bruce was voted to the chair. - Mr. A. E. Brooks, chairman of the outgoing committee, presented the annual report and balance-sheet, the hitter showing a small credit balance. Both were considered satisfactory and adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Messrs A. E. Brooks, VI. Baxendine, J. F. Bock. R. A. Bruce, and J. Jones. Mr. A. E*-J3rooks wa.s re-elected chairman. The meeting terminated with the usual votes to retiring officers and the evening's chairman.
