MATAMATA ROD AND GUN CLUB
SATURDAY'S SHOOT. hlcal weather favoured the Matamata Rod and Gun Club last week when at Mr. W. Livingstone's farm, Tower road, a shoo!, was held for a trophy presented bv Mr. W. Gale. Competitors all shot from the same mark. The arrangements were that 10 inanimate pigeons were released for each contestant in two broken spells of five each, the entrant who "killed" the greatest possible number out of 10 winning tin; trophy. "Trapping" was efficiently carried out by Messrs. G. Amunsdcn and R. E. Burke, the issue in each case being well contested. The following were the competitors and scores:—J. Amunsdcn 10, T. Hceps 10, R. E. Burke !), E. Green !), G. Amunsdcn 7, E. Blown (i, C. Green 5, W. Hales 5. W. Clair 2, C. Crabb 2. J. Amunsdcn and T. Hceps thus tied for first place, and the trophy being of a divisible nature if was decided that these Iwo would share the same.
