AMOUNTS AVAILABLE. In the course of his report to the Matamata County Council, at its last meeting ,thc engineer (Mr. F. Shannon) stated that the 'Government grants available for expenditure were as follows: — ' Bridgewater to French Pass, £SO; Cambridge to Hinucra, £SO; Cambridge to Tirau, £30(50 and £2333; French Pass Road, £150; Tirau to Rotorua, £3 for £l, £750; Hot Springs road, £1 for £l, £100; Huihuitaha Stream road, £500; Kihikihi to Waotu, £150; Matamata to Tntmmga, £l. for £l, £500; Muirlicad’s road, £100; Puketurua to Uraura, £400; Putaruru to Waotu, £300; Putaruru to Puketurua £1 for £l, £200; Putaruru to Tirau, £1 for £l, £300; Tirau to Rotorua, through Mamaku bush (£750 is £3 for £l, and £l5O is direct vote), £000; Waimaknriri bridge, £1 for £l, £000; Wahuroa to Turangemoanu, £500; Waotu North road, £150; Waotu south road, £150; total £OSIO. Mr. Shannon stated with regard to the vote of Putaruru to Waotu, that lie had completed the engineering survey, and prepared plans and specifications.
