HAMILTON V. MATAMATA. The Matamata Club met Hamilton at Matamata on Saturday last, and were defeated on the first innings by 05 runs. Hamilton batted first, and thanks chiefly to scores by H. Johnston (53) and Du fly (35), scored 125 runs. Only two of the Matamata I batsmen got into double figures, t Moyes, who was playing Iris first ; match for the local club, scoring 27 | not out, and Dryland 13. Each side i played twelve men.
