Well-Known Putaruru Resident It was ■ reported to the Rotorua police.yesterday that Mr. I-I. Aspen, of .Putaruru, had been found dead about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, while staying <vith a relative at Mamaku, On investigating,' the police found that lie had shut, himself, the weapon used being a pea-i'ifle. Deceased was well known in Putaruru as an employee at the Taupo Timber Company’s.mill, and as proprietor of the local picture entertainments. He lias been in ill-health for sonic time past, being in hospital on more more than one occasion. He was‘quite recently discharged from the Waikato Hospital. He leaves a widow and two children, who are at present in Auckland.
