Sir. —I see in your columns ehat the council have all arrangements made for the carnival at Christmas and New Year. Perhaps the time is opportune for the council to place before the townspeople its policy in connection with the monies received from these carnivals. The carnivals were lirstly started by the people to raise funds for amenities in the town for the convenience of visitors and local people alike. It will not bo long now before the amount invested by the Carnival Committee in War Bonds falls due. Will the council tell the public now what its intentions arc or Avill the money be placed in the "gene- 1 ral account of the borough along with the other carnival funds? I am, etc. “Wontiering.”
