(Own Correspondent) Weather. Although the shortest day of the year has passed the weather continues to be exceptionally mild. Apart from a few cold southerly winds experienced at intervals, the conditions durthe week have been pleasant with a fair amount of sunshine. Obituary. The death occurred recently at Cromwell of Mr Charles S. Boult, aged 68, who until recently was residing in Glenorchy. Mr Boult who was an engineer by trade returned to Glenorchy in 1942 after a lengthy absence to take up employment with the State scheelite mines. Ho was obliged to give up work on account of ill health. Personal. Mr and Mrs H. Mathieson have returned to Glenorchy from Southland. Mr R. H. Bryant has been spending a few days in Queenstown. Mr Jim Aitken is at present visiting his father, Mr J. B. Aitken of Glenorchy.
