Mrs W. Wheatland and her daughter Doris, returned to Dunedin last week.

Mr and Mrs J. D. Gilmore of Invercargill are in residence in Queenstown. Mr R. L. Wigley, managing director of the Mt. Cook Tourist Co., is visiting Queenstown on business.

Cpls. E. McSoriley, R. Anderson and Ptcs. G. Lynch, C. Nelson, A. Sanders, 11. Atley, S. Summers and E. Bryant have been home on leave from military camps.

Master David Herbert recently passed his medical examination as a preliminary to joining the Royal Navy in the near future.

Messrs Allan and Morris Campbell are spending a few day’s holiday in Queenstown. They arc sons of Mr A. C. Campbell, manager of the Bank of New Zealand in Queenstown some years ago. Mr and Mrs H. A. Knowles of Oreti, w’ho have been on a visit to the Head of Lake, returned to their home on Tuesday. ) Mrs W. Ayers returned to Garston on Wednesday after a short visit to her mother Mrs Murchison.

Ptes. J. Hunter and C. Gray have been home on short leave.
