I Replying to a question in the House I of Commons, the Minister for Econo- ' mic Warfare, Mr Hugh Dalton, said that since Italy entered the war the British Government had been authorised to import into Bulgaria only two comparatively unimportant consignments of goods. Towards the other Balkan countries, except Greece, the British policy had been, and still was, to allow no imports through to countries where there was a risk of important goods falling into enemy hands. As far as Greece was concerned, the Minister said, the British Government was doing all it could to meet the requirements both for war and civilian needs.
