Arrowtown Territorial Association
A meeting- of the committee -was held in the Atheneum Hall on. Thursday evening- Last . Present; MessrsW. H. James (president), J. H- Douglas, R. Shaw, K. A. Haggitt, W- P. Saunders, E. L, Thompson, J. Fletcher, P. M. Tobin, A. Reid, T- DScott, J. W. Peed and W. J- Shaw. Mr J. H. Douglas was elected secretary in place of Eev. K. I. Cameron, who had left the district.
The president said that a letter had been received from the Invercargill Association suggesting that, as the territorials in training camps were not entitled to any assistance' from patriotic funds, the Arrowtown Association might see. its way to make a donation towards providing comforts for the men while in camp. Mr Jiamles said' that lat present 'Jinrp was a credit :balance of £9 odd. ■ It was unanimously decided that the sum of £5 be transmitted to the Invercargill , Association for the purpose named. It was. also decided that the' annual membership fee of 2s 6d be continued, subscriptions to be paid in January next. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
