LOCAL AND GENERAL
There was a good attendar: ce at St. Patrick’s Church fortnightly social held in the schoolroom on Wednesday evening- last. The euchre prizes were won by Mrs C. Kitto and Mr T. Mcßride, while Mi's- G. Summers and Mr K. Snell Qualified for the consolation trophies'. Supper was provided by the ladies, after which dancing was- indulged in, the music behvr supplied by Mis® M. Inder. The annual Citizens! Ball will be held in the Atheneum Hall on Friday evening, 6th September. McNamara-s popular dance band has- been engaged to supply the dance music. This year the whole of the- proceeds of the ball will be donated to patriotic funds'.
