To enable all parts of New Zealand to be adeauately represented in the gift, the Government has decided to provide for collections in all provincial patriotic districts ..namely Auckland .and East Coast. Hawkes Bay. Taranaki Wellington .Marlborough Nelson -Canterbury... Otago -.outliLand and 'Westland. the United Kingdom. Government is being asked to name the planes puic.hased after tbe districts where the funds are collected. Mr Nash adds that in view of our commitments' overseas the gift to the British Government, which, it is understood will be sufficient to provide for 16 fighter aeroplanes, must be limited to £IOO.OOO. The provision of these funds will not increase the supply of these planes, as the factories are working to capacity, but they will indicate the appreciation of the_ Dominion of the outstanding achievements' of the E.A.F.
